Ilias Syrigos received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in computer engineering from University of Thessaly, in 2012 and 2014 respectively, and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D degree. He is affiliated with the Network Implementation Testbed Laboratory (NITLab), Volos, Greece.

Over the years, Ilias Syrigos’ research has spanned several core areas of datacenters, network performance, and cloud-native methodologies. This includes the design and development of orchestration frameworks for disaggregated hardware architectures for datacenters, in the context of EU projects (dRedBox), research on diagnosing common WiFi pathologies using machine learning techniques and integration of Software Defined Networking (SDN) with Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs). Currently his research endeavors target the intelligent use of cloud-native methodologies in diverse environments of 5G networks.
