Christos Efthymiou

Christos Efthymiou graduated from the Hellenic Military Academy in 2002, with the degree of Second Lieutenant. He served as a platoon commander, senior trainer of Non-Commissioned officers and he provided expert support to Chief Executive Officer of Greek KFOR on information security and flow of information in relation to NATO’s Balkan Operation, where he received a Non-Article 5 NATO Medal. In 2008 he decided that he wanted to grow a beard and his hair out long, so he resigned from the Greek Army. Since money makes the world go round, he took courses on Financial Management, Stock Market Investing and Macroeconomics from National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and University of Piraeus. When he put most of the bits and pieces of his life in order, he decided to do something about the bytes too. In 2025 he received his Master’s degree in Applied Informatics from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department, University of Thessaly, Greece. He is currently working as a field engineer, implementing, troubleshooting and giving feedback on various research projects. When he is not analyzing data and machine learning algorithms, he goes cross-country snowboarding and if there isn’t any snow, he cultivates olive trees, producing extra virgin olive oil.
